Yesterday husband and I went shopping for our mom's gifts. I think we did pretty good and hopefully they will enjoy their presents. After we got home I just cleaned the house, we've had our windows open and the pollen is horrible. I'm not sure what kind of tree pollen is bad right now but it really bothers me. I told family no more open windows until the pollen is down. I usually do a good cleaning every week and after dusting this week I couldn't believe how much pollen and dust was in our house, yuk!
Saturday we went to S's game then did the usual errands. When we got home I started weeding the flower beds and decided to try my new apron on (I didn't want to get it dirty this time - I'll save it for planting). Anyway I got S to take a picture of me wearing, I didn't realize I matched the apron until I saw the picture. (Hair is still growing out!)
We went to the cinco de Mayo party Saturday night and had such a good time. The party was outside and they had a very nice fire pit going. Lots of really good mexican food. It was also nice to meet a lot of the spouses of the people my husband works with. One couple I really liked only lives a street over from us so hopefully we can get together again. All in all we had a great weekend.

i love your apron! sounds like you had a nice weekend. makes me realize i need to get myself in gear and start digging in the dirt! i spy the lighthouse behind you...it looks familiar to me ;-)
K - a friend gave it to me when we were stationed in Vegas (I collect lighthouses so I have a few from your state too). The lighthouse doesn't have a name on it so not sure where it's from.

MS, that's the cape hatteras lighthouse from our outer banks. a few years ago they acutally moved it further inland as it was about to fall into the sea! i climbed to the top of it a long, long time ago. i haven't been to the outer banks in years!
how great to see you in your new Apron and the colors on the new beach bag are stunning. I love real deep red hues.. I'm just trying to catch up with everyone!
