Another quirk

I thought I'd share another one of my quirks today. It has to do with germs, I know a lot of people have issues with this. This one quirk only happens at work - we have a kitchen at work, stove, frig, toaster oven, microwave, etc. we have dishes and silverware. It started one day when I made a cup of tea using one of the mugs at work, it was in the cabinet I'm sure clean. The more I drank my tea the more I started thinking about who else had drank out of it and if they really cleaned it. I haven't had any more tea since then. The other day I forgot a bowl and spoon to put my can of soup in - I had no choice but to use what was in the cabinet. I even washed it first and was still grossed out by it. I think my boss and his wife are really nice people maybe a little messy. My boss will fix himself stuff to eat in between seeing patients and most of the time I walk in the kitchen and a bowl of half eaten oatmeal is sitting on the cabinet or dirty dishes in the sink. I'm making myself sick visualizing it now, this doesn't happen any where else. So my conclusion is my boss just makes me sick!

I know what you mean. The fridges where I work are DISGUSTING! It's like a science experiment. They use to be cleaned regularly but I can't remember the last time anyone cleaned them. The microwaves are gross too.

Oh my goodness!! I would not eat out of bowls or drink out of glasses at work either. I had to bring my own stuff or go without. We used to have arguments over who should clean out the microwave because it would go so long without a cleaning.

When I worked in an office I knew what you mean..... dirty dishes every where and coffee mugs half empty sitting on the counter and no one would clean them up.

Where I work now, we have a cleaning crew that cleans daily and we don't have to worry about that anymore.. its actually clean.

I read your post this morning. At lunchtime I went to heat up my soup and realized I forgot my spoon. I was just about to reach in the community utensil drawer to grab one when your "post" popped into my head and all I could think about was "that spoon is probably germy". Needless to say, I found a clean plastic one!

Oh dear, I better not invite you over here. I have pug hair in my kitchen!

Do you eat out? How do you eat off plates that thousands of people have used? And those people in the back have touched? Hmm?
