Weekend review

Friday was Shane's last day of school and he was very excited. We went to the in-laws to enjoy the pool because it was too hot to do anything else. I love the hot weather but I've forgotten how hot it gets down here and it's only May! Anyway we had a good time swimming laps and playing, I think I need to do more laps - that's an exercise I actually enjoy. Also we stopped by the DMV for Shane to get a driver's license book to review - well this would be for his permit. I've been letting him drive around the neighborhood and he's doing pretty good.
He's very excited about his summer vacation!
His reading material for the summer.
My Saturday! I was so excited to go see "the" movie and it did not disappoint. If you haven't seen it please do. I laughed and shed a few tears, I won't give anything away in case someone hasn't seen it.
This morning after husband finished his run he brought home breakfast, pecan waffles and grits. I've never been a fan of grits but husband insisted I try them and they were actually pretty good. Later today Shane and I went shopping for shorts and really cool and thin t-shirts for him - again very hot around here.

That picture of Shane says "Summer is here and no more school!" Where did he get those grits?? I love grits! Sounds like a good weekend. It is way to hot now and no rain in sight...I need a good afternoon thunder shower.

Hot isn't so bad when you have access to a pool! Great photo! Good luck to Shane on his driving exam. How exciting for him!!
