Some answers

First of all about the cake picture from yesterday, I actually copied that from someone else's blog - whoever made that cake did an excellent job.

Now on to answering some of the questions you asked. First up is Pam.

How did you and your husband meet?
This is not a very romantic story, we met Nov 30, 1990 in a bar at about 1 am! After dancing and talking for a while he asked for my number. The next morning he called and wanted to see me, I told him I was putting my Christmas tree up and asked if he wanted to help us (I had told him I had a four year son). After that day we were pretty much together all the time. He was so good with Cole right away, he just jumped in with everything - when I think back it was really pretty amazing how he wanted to be Cole's dad. On Christmas night – that same year (a little over a month) he asked me to marry him, it was very quick and a little scary since I'd already been through this but my mouth answered him quickly with a yes and we got married April 6 1991 and we just celebrated our 17th anniversary. About six weeks before we were married he sent me a dozen roses every week! I'm sure the florist really loved him.

What was your favorite thing about living in the northeast?
I really enjoyed the fall season, it was so different than anything I had ever experienced, the colors were stunning and it was fun decorating.

What was your least favorite (about northeast)?
No surprise – the winter was way too long and too cold.

Do you have a favorite food?
Yes, pizza – I think I could eat it everyday and not get tired of it.

How many places have you lived and do you have a favorite?
I've lived in five different states – Alabama, Florida (2 times), Hawaii, Nevada, and Massachusetts and one other country - Turkey. I'd have to say my favorite place was Hawaii, the main reason was the weather since we are beach people we spent almost every weekend at the beach or outside doing something the down side was it was so far from home.

I love the story of how y'all met and decided to get married. Your husband is so good about giving you flowers. that's so sweet. I always enjoyed wherever you were living...hearing about what it was like where you were ..plus you always sent me neat things from wherever you were. But I am so glad you are here now!

That's a great story about how you bothe met and got engaged...and all those roses! too sweet!

I think it is so interesting that you lived in Turkey. It was nice to hear about some of your experiences there at that meet-up. I know living away from home in all those places must have gotten old after awhile but I'm sure you had some amazing experiences.

Thanks for answering my questions!
