The weekend

We didn't do anything on Friday or Saturday. Sunday was our 17th anniversary so we decided to celebrate by going over to Biloxi to a casino, we ended up here. I had a wonderful massage, it's been a while since I've had one so I really enjoyed it. While I was being pampered husband was in the casino, I'm not a gambler and in the past I would play the slots for a while (remember we lived in Vegas). Anyway husband likes to play blackjack so I watched him for a while then decided I was ready to try playing (sitting right next to him so he could help me). The real reason I've never played is because I'm horrible in math and can't add very quick and then add the pressure of the game, just too much. So I decided what the heck I'm going for it, this may not have been a good thing because I had winners luck, I think I ended up with 7 blackjacks and I came out ahead. We had a really good time and had a free seafood buffet lunch, it only takes about 1.5 hour so it was a nice day trip. Husband also gave me roses almost the same color as the ones I had in our wedding and I got a new helmet (really what I wanted seriously).

The reason I wanted a new helmet is for our trip, if you noticed on the top of the page I've got a ticker for our trip. I'll leave where we are going a surprise until our return, but I'll give you a few hints. It's going to take a really long time to get there but the ride will so be worth it, very tropical! I've never been on a bike ride this long before and I'm sure I won't be as excited when it's time to turn around and come back home but it will be an adventure for us to share and we will have memories to last a lifetime. We are trying to take advantage of this time we both have off with no schedules and no worries.

Sounds like a wonderful trip to Biloxi! I would love to try that seafood buffet there. I haven't been over that way since the hurricanes hit. I think your trip will be a great adventure. You must take lots of pictures. I hope you spend your winnings on something fun!

i think you are going to key west?!?! that's funny about you never playing blackjack cause you aren't good at math cause i'm the same way. and i canNOT figure out how people count cards. there could be 4 aces showing and i'd still not be clued in ;-)

happy belated anniversary.

Happy anniversary! I can't wait to hear where you are going. If you ARE going to Key West, you'll have to be sure to tell me all about it. We are going there in May. ;)

Happy Anniversary!

I am glad you had fun in Biloxi. The hotel/casino sounds great! We were there back in 1998 when there was the Grand Casino... my aunt worked there as a Blackjack Dealer and we got the tour of the casino and went to a few all you can eat buffets for free. It was a very fun trip! Now of course the events of Katrina destroyed where she worked and she no longer lives there, she still is a blackjack dealer.

Can't wait to hear about your upcoming trip... I bet its so fun and I am so jealous.
