Updates

Cole went back to the doctor yesterday for the results of his mri on his knee. Thank goodness he didn't further injure it, the doctor said he bruised it. The doctor told him he could go back to his regular job, he's been working in the office helping people out since he couldn't hold his camera and he said he is really ready to get back to his job.

Now it's Shane's turn, his shoulder has been bothering him for several weeks well really since he started baseball practice. We just assumed it was sore muscles so we put stuff on the muscles and gave him motrin. Last week he said it was still really bothering him so I took him to the doctor, of course they always do xrays first, we knew that wouldn't show anything if there was a problem and it didn't. The doctor has ordered an mri so he can figure out what the cause of pain is, we are keeping our fingers crossed that nothing is torn. I'm hoping to hear from the mri place this week so he can get in to have it done. The doctor said he could continue to bat but not throw over his shoulder, the coach said he would put him in as an extra hitter and have him help out in the dugout until we find out what's going on. I couldn't believe how upset Shane was to not be able to play, if you remember last year he broke his thumb at the beginning of the season.

Yesterday husband and I took the bike over to Perdido Key. It was nice and sunny when we left the house but it was really cloudy and cool once we got over there. We still had a good time and stopped at a little place called The Crab Trap for lunch, I had blackened fish, blackeyed peas, corn on the cob and hushpuppies and it was wonderful. I love riding beside the beach and smelling the salt water. I attempted to take picture while on the bike but they didn't turn out very well.

Once we got home we had to get ready for Shane's game which was at 8:00 last night, I couldn't believe they were playing so late, the time limit for his league is 2 1/2 hours. They played really good and Shane got to bat a couple of times, they lost by 1 point. We didn't get home until 10:45 and Shane had to take a shower before he could go to bed (he normally goes to sleep around 9:30), he was one tired kid this morning. Hopefully they won't have too many games that late.

Goodness! I'm glad to hear that Cole is going to be okay and I sure hope Shane's shoulder will be okay too.

I'm glad Cole is better and did not mess that knee up further. Now I'm hoping Shane gets a good report for his shoulder and can get back to playing ball soon. I like Perdido Key and I hope y'all go back when the sun is shining!

That is really late to be playing a game! I hope Shane's shoulder is OK. I would hate for him to miss out on playing again this year.
