A little trip

Yesterday Ragus and I went over to Gulf Shores to walk around and have lunch. It was a beautiful ride along the beach and so nice to spend time with Ragus (I hope she's feeling better today). We wanted to check out the shops in this little area, Ragus took some pictures inside some of the stores so check out her blog. This ferris wheel is right beside the shops, I think they look sad when they aren't moving, by the time we left people were on it.
This is where we had lunch.
They have a little man made beach outside the restaurant.
My lunch, seafood gumbo and in the corner the hushpuppies and they were both excellent. I wish Ragus would have been able to taste her food but her cold prevented that.
This afternoon we are having a family get together at in-laws, my MIL has been working on this for about a month. I'll take plenty of pictures of all the food she is planning on making, she does tend to go overboard so I'm sure we'll be eating the leftovers all weekend (not complaining though). Enjoy the weekend.

Yummy, the food looks so good. It's hard to believe I could not even smell any food at all or taste. Not a good thing for me. But it was so pretty and felt so good out there. It was a nice time. Maybe you'll get to ride that ferris wheel sometime!

I am so glad you are having such beautiful warm weather to enjoy days like that.... then again I would just settle for some days off work even if it is raining all the time.

You must be so much Happier down South. There is so much to see and do and EAT! If could I would move down there in a second!

The last time I went on a ferris wheel I got stuck at the top and it seemed like FOREVER before it moved to let us off. I haven't been on one since then and I'm not sure I plan to. : )

I have "Beach Fever" just looking at the pictures of the Wharf and Lulu's. But DH reminded me -we are choosing fireplace tile over a beach trip....RATS!
