Tip Thursday

My mom shared this Vicks Vapor rub tip with me, I remember as a child she would rub it on my chest and I did the same thing with my kids. Wished I would have know about this years ago.

It works 100 percent of the time, although the scientists at the Canada Research council (who discovered it) aren't sure why. To stop nighttime coughing in a child (or an adult, as we found out personally), put Vicks Vapor Rub generously on the bottom of the feet at bedtime and then cover with socks. Even persistent, heavy, deep coughing will stop in about five minutes and stay stopped for many, many hours of relief. This works 100 percent of the time and is more effective in children than even very strong prescription cough medicines. In addition it is extremely soothing and comforting and they will sleep soundly.

I've always done teh chest thing but I don't think I've ever heard about putting it on the feet. Great tip! Definitely will remember that one.

That's crazy because my momma just heard that a couple weeks ago and she told me about it. It's great to know for future reference.

That is funny to think that works. But I saw an ad for these pads that you put on your feet at night before bed and they draw out toxins from your body. And when you take the pads off the next morning, they look dirty...at least on the ad they did.
