A really good tip!

Since Thanksgiving is next week I though I'd share one of my favorite recipes, this is my grandmothers sweet potato casserole - that's what she always called it although it really could be a dessert. No picture but it is really really good.
~ 3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
~ 3/4 cup sugar
~ 1/2 cup butter
~ 1 tsp vanilla
~ 2 eggs beaten
~ 1/3 cup milk
mix and put in casserole dish
Topping - consistency needs to be crumbly - may need to add more flour or less butter
~ 1 cup light brown sugar
~ 1/3 cup butter - softened
~ 1/2 cup flour
~ 1 cup chopped pecans
mix and sprinkle over potatoes
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes (I usually double this recipe)

That sounds similar to my MIL's recipe except she whips the potatoes. I do love sweet potato recipes!

I do that same recipe but instead of milk, I use orange juice. I love that topping on it.
