Sorry no tip today

No tip today just a question. Apparently we have a mole or moles in our front yard and flower bed. It is making such a mess of all my hard work and it is so frustrating. Every afternoon I try to pack the holes and tunnels down and water everything, this is suppose to help get rid of them. It really grosses me out to think those little animals are under the ground as I’m stepping on them – yuk! Anyway my question is has anybody else had problems with them and if you have what have you done about them? Do they stay there forever and why did they pick my yard? Thanks for any help.

We have a cat!! She is the best mole exterminator:) I feel bad for them, but not after they were estroying our flowers! Other than that, I have no idea.

we had some sort of burrowing underground varmit earlier in the spring making tunnels all over our backyard. when it stopped raining (pretty much the entire summer) it disappeared...maybe it went up your way looking for softer soil and water. i've heard lots of ways to get rid of them but rarely heard anyone say what they did worked.

I feel sorry for them to an extent but you have to fight back. I have no idea what to do. I wonder if Tammy Good Boy Norman's mama would know since she does a lot of gardening? We have mole crickets here...have you ever seen one? It looks like an alien.

No advice but I do remember them popping up in my grandmother's house and as a child, She'd have me out there stomping down their trails. I remember her catching a couple while they were working a trail and it didn't end pretty for the mole.
