Happy Birthday S!

I want to wish S a very Happy 14th Birthday. I have to tell you a funny story that happened when I was pregnant. I was going in to have an ultrasound and husband was meeting me at appointment (husband is ALWAYS late; he was even 5 min late to our wedding). So I got to the appointment on time and was waiting for him when they called me back, I took my time getting undressed hoping he would hurry up and get their. When the girl started the ultrasound she asked if we wanted to know the sex and I said I kind of did but husband didn’t so we had decided we would wait until the birth. As soon as I said that she said of this is very obvious so of course I said you mean it’s a boy? About that time in walks husband and I told her again we didn’t want to know the sex. Husband was looking at ultrasound, of course we really couldn’t see anything. The girl gave us a video tape and printed a picture out and wrote the sex on the picture then put it in a sealed envelope just in case we wanted to know. After I got back to work I called my mom and told her I was having another boy but for her not to tell husband or his family because he didn’t want to know and I didn’t want him to know that I knew (does that make sense). So for the remainder of my pregnancy which was about 5 months husband and his side of the family had no idea that we were having a boy while all my family and friends knew. That had to be the best kept secret ever. I didn’t even tell my husband that I knew all along until S was about 7 yrs old.

So tonight for we are having pizza, ice cream and cake at home then taking him to a Bruins hockey game, he dosen't like to have parties anymore. S is a really quiet and sometimes shy person so he doesn't like to draw attention to himself, even on his birthday. I'll post pictures tomorrow of the game and his gifts.

Happy Birthday S! He is shy and so sweet. That's a funny story. I don't know how you all kept that quiet for so long. I remember your wedding and it was a beautiful day and the cake was so GOOD. But I don't remember your husband being late!

I really can't believe I kept that secret so long either, I guess after he was born I just forgot about. I don't remember what husband said must not have been too much since I can't remember it.
