Doctors...

What a day we had yesterday. My husband had to have carpal tunnel and ulner nerve surgery – we had to be at the hospital at 6:30 am. Everything went really well he’s just sore which is to be expected. We will go back to the doctor in the morning for them to change his dressing and show me how to change it (yuk) and start physical therapy. He had this surgery a couple of years ago but it didn’t involve his ulner nerve so hopefully this will help him.

I had to take Nyla to the vet when we got back from the hospital. Nyla started losing her hair, at first we thought she had scraped her side on the deck but it started coming out in patches and she had a funny smell. The vet said the smell was from a yeast infection on her skin so she gave her some antibiotics and drew blood to figure how whey she’s losing her hair. The vet thinks she has hypothyroidism; Nyla has gained about 15 pounds over the last year and half. If it is her thyroid she can be put on medicine to correct the weight gain and hair loss. Keep your finger crossed that’s all it is.

I hope the husband recovers quickly. He sure has had more than his share of painful surgeries. Miss Nyla is a beauty. I want to see her in person some day. I've never seen her in person!! My chichi just got some thyroid medicine yesterday. She's not having any irregular hairloss though.

Is it bad that Im more worried about Nyla than your husband? lol. It sounds like your husband will be fine, but I feel bad for Nyla. Glad you took her in to the vet! Hopefully they found the answers to make her better! She's beautiful.
