Thoughts for today...

This is our second winter in New England and I have to say I’m loving this 50-60 degree weather in January. I guess we got lucky last year too because it only snowed a few times. It has been so different living in the northeast. I try to find something positive every where we live and I have to say I love the summer here the best. We were able to go to the beach (although very different than what I’m use to) almost every weekend, the water is still extremely cold in the summer but at least we could be outside. The summers are much shorter but I think it makes you enjoy it more because you know it doesn’t last long. I also enjoyed the spring where I learned to garden, I really didn’t think I had a knack for that but surprised myself with how much I enjoyed playing in the dirt.

I’ve also surprised myself by learning to knit and actually enjoying. I was trying to find hobbies to do inside during the winter when it’s too cold to do anything else. I got a sewing machine last Christmas although that’s not going to well, I have successfully hemmed up one pair of pants though!

Sounds like you are adapting to life up there! I would love to see what all you are seeing. From everyone's blogs and pictures and now I'm reading a book about New England, it just sounds so pretty...How did you learn to knit? Maybe you can teach me some day. I see so many pretty things that people knit. You learn to sew doggy clothes like Punchbugpug and sell them on ebay!

My boss taught me to knit, I'm knitting a pink scarf and when I finish it I'll post a pic.

We're happy here with this mild winter too! Wow, if it does indeed ever snow this year, we will all faint!

RPM - If you lived closer we could have a knitting/sewing club with MS!!! Maybe you could visit her and we could really meet! LOL Of course I know we'd all have to drive.

I'll be watching for the photo of your scarf. I am crocheting Puggy dresses right now.

That would be fun...but it'd take me two days to drive that far, if not longer! I would definitely have to visit all blogging friends between here and there!
