This and that

Thank you all for the suggestions for the front porch. I can't wait to go to a nursery to look around for stuff, I'll wait until I know it's going to stay warm though. Things are starting to settle down although we still have two rooms left to do something with. We are making the Florida room into a game room and we aren't sure what to do with the "living/office" room. Possible make it into an office for husband.

I've been really good with my exercise this week - I know it's only Wednesday but it's better than what I've been doing. Now that we have our bowflex and treadmill together it's really no excuse not to use it. I do best and stick with it as long as I can get it over with first thing in the morning which is what I've been doing.

My mom and I have been planning their 50th wedding anniversary party which will be the end of May. I called to get prices on a cake and couldn't believe the lady when she said around $700, for an anniversary cake. I told that lady we would not be spending that much money on a cake. I know stuff is expensive but they are already married! I'm hoping to find someone more reasonable. I'm still waiting on the caterer to get back to me about the other stuff, we've got lots to do and the time will be here before we know it. I love planning stuff and am so glad to be living close by so I can help do this for my parents.

Your neighborhood would be a great place to walk outside, too. Wow, 50 years...so wonderful. I think Publix does pretty cakes. I bet you can find someone less expensive. Did they break it down by slice?? My parents have their 50th this year too!

I agree with you, I'd be looking elsewhere for a more reasonably priced cake.
Are you able to have a room now to have a little gym in your new house with your bowflex and treadmill? That would be terrific!

that's ridiculous $$ for a cake for an anniversary. if i lived there i'd SO make one for you! in lieu of that, i'd be happy to share recipes with you...it's NOT that hard to do, trust me.

Wow! Thats crazy for a cake. I would check other places because you could surely find one way more reasonable than that!
