Christmas and a house

Husband got home late Christmas Eve and we were so glad to see him. He had all of Shane's presents and his parents so I had to get busy wrapping as soon as he walked in the door. We still get up before Shane on Christmas morning, it seems like we have always had to wake the kids up. This was the opposite when I was growing up, my brother and I would wake our parents sometimes as early as 4:30, that's so crazy. Anyway we had a really nice day, after presents were opened and family called we went to in-laws. My mother-in-law made a wonderful lunch/dinner and we just hung out with them and my sister-in-law. It was really a very relaxing day and husband was still tired from his trip so it was nice for him to try to catch up.

We closed on our house today and we had so much drama beginning with last Tuesday I really didn't know if we would get the house or not. The mortgage company we used was horrible, no one told us anything, they just assumed we knew all the real estate laws in Florida! In the end it worked out in our favor but I would never want to go through with it again. I'm just so happy to have it done. I didn't realize how much stress it was causing until we signed the last piece of paper and got our keys. Husband had to go back afterwards so he got a much later start than he hoped unfortunately he won't get back to Tampa until midnight and he has to go to work tomorrow. Please pray for him to find a job around here very soon.

Congrats on getting the house! I know you are glad its over.

We finally have a contract on our house, and if everything goes as planned it will no longer be ours on Jan. 16th!!

Wonderful you closed. Too bad the company didn't explain stuff to you. In NYS buyers have an attorney to represent them and explain. Looking forward to pics!
