Trip pictures

Finally I can post pictures. First stop Tybee Island Lighthouse, I guess I didn't think about being able to go up in the lighthouse so when it was open I was thrilled. I don't think mom was as thrilled! Once we got to the top and I walked out I kind of freaked, I've never been afraid of heights but it was pretty scary. After I circled once I was a little more relaxed so I was able to take some pictures, the view was so pretty.
Looking down at the keepers cottage.
Looking out over the island toward the beach, I loved all the different colored houses.
A bedroom in the cottage.

All the wood in the cottage was so pretty.
Next stop Savannah, we took one of those trolley tours which was nice because we could get off and on the trolley. If you've been to Savannah you know all about the beautiful town squares all through the historic district. I can't remember which square this one was.

I loved this red phone booth, apparently Julia*Roberts stood in it while filming a movie (I guess I've forgotten everything I've learned 'cause I can't remember the movie!

A beautiful home in Savannah, there were so many beautiful homes and buildings.

A haunted house - look at the top window.

I'll have more pictures tomorrow.

That lighthouse is so nice. Does it still work as a lighthouse? Aunt Sue lived in Savannah many years ago and I loved to visit her. I now love to read books where Savannah is the setting.

It looks like you had so much fun! I would have been freaked out standing at the top of that lighthouse too, I'm sure!

Makes me miss Savannah! I remember that phone booth outside of that pub. I think the movie was "Something to Talk About."

Savannah is a really great city. I'm so glad you were able to go and enjoy yourself! Last time I was there my husband and I had drinks in the little basement bar of the 1790 house that you photographed in your last pic! Glad to see it hasn't changed!
