Whew what a weekend

I already told you about the snow we got at my parents in Alabama but so much more took place than the snow. I had planned to go see my niece cheer at her basketball game Saturday morning, as I'm getting ready to leave my mom tells me they charge a couple dollars for the game. As I pick up my purse to look in my wallet because I think I've got a couple of dollars I realize my wallet is not in my purse. I have to say I never and I mean never loose anything so when I couldn't find my wallet I went into panic mood. Shane, my mom and me looked all through the car, all in the house and no wallet. I had my driver's license, two bank debit cards and a credit card in my wallet. I called my MIL to see if she would go to my house in Florida to see if I had dropped it on the floor as I was leaving, so she checked in the house and all in the yard, no wallet. I had no choice but to call the bank and credit card company and cancel everything. I had checked online and nothing had been charged so that was a good sign. Remember I'm in Alabama, no cards and no ID well I did have my military ID because I kept it in a different place. Thank goodness I had my checkbook which dawned on me later that I could actually write a check - something I never do. Fast forward to today as we are coming in the house Shane said mom did you check your jacket pocket - I didn't take that jacket with me and thank goodness that's where my wallet had been all along. So tomorrow I have to go to the bank and hopefully they will cancel whatever they do so I can use my debit card without waiting on another one. That was a long story.

Back up to Saturday again, Cole was working the snow story and called and said he needed to interview someone and that someone was going to be me! I kept telling I didn't want to do it and he kept on and on with me until I gave in. Once he sets the camera up I can't think of anything to say, my mom prompts me to say something about moving back from Boston and all the snow. So I said something to that affect, after many takes Cole said he had it. I didn't make it on the 6:00 news but did make it on the 10:00 news and I was so embarrassed watching myself. Then on Sunday my brother and his family were over and they watched it a couple of times, I just had to leave the room. Sorry no video posting on this one.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for my giveaway announcement.

Oh My Gosh! I am so HaPpY to hear that your wallet was in your jacket pocket the whole time. What a pain in the a** it is to have to go the whole process to cancel everything. I hope it is not going to be too much to go back and re cancel what you already cancelled...Geesh!
You really had me on that interview thing you posted on your Photo blog....I wondered if that was what it was for. I know what you mean tho about being embarrassed watching yourself...I hate that too. But I am sure you did just fine. I wish I could of seen that!
Hmmm.....wonder what you are giving away? I will be back to check out the details!

I'm so glad your wallet was not lost. The husband over here loses his wallet every other day and his cell phone and his keys and coats and hats and whatever... I wish Cole could get that interview onto Youtube! We need to see it. You should have been out there in your shorts and flippies!

I am glad you found your wallet, but I wish you didn't have to go thru all that before you did. I would have been worried out of my mind.
