We're Moving!!!

We finally have an answer, it's an unofficial answer, still no paperwork but at least we know. My husband will be retiring, that sounds so weird to say. We found out on Monday and it was such a relief to finally be able to move on instead of wondering what our fate would be every single day. I talked to my boss on Monday and felt so much better letting her know I would be leaving sooner than we thought. Shane and I will be leaving right before Christmas, I'm so excited to be able to spend Christmas with Cole and ALL my family. We haven't been home for Christmas since we 1993! We will have a Christmas here with husband before we leave, I'm really sad we won't be spending the actual day together but this works out better for Shane and we are trying to take into his feelings on changing schools and moving. Since it will be during the Christmas break he will actually be able to enjoy a vacation then go back to school. We will be in Florida until the summer, this way husband will be able to enjoy some time off and we can figure out where we will go from there. We are also lucky that the military will store all our stuff for up to a year, which is good since we will be living in a temp situation for a few months.

WOW! That is great news and wonderful timing. I know it will be tough for Shane, but at least he's known about it for quite some time. You'll be near Sandy! Woohoo! And yes, that is great the Army stores and moves your stuff. I LOVED that.

Yea, yea, yea...I'm so glad you have an answer and extremely glad you'll be here for at least a few months...maybe longer?? Now you can move ahead and not feel so "on hold." I know Cole and your family will be so glad you'll be home for Christmas. That is many many many years not being with your parents and brother and all for Christmas.

Congratulations! You're coming home to the South! This will be difficult for Shane, but he'll get through it just fine. He will miss those snow days though! LOL!
