I hope to inspire you!

I was inspired by Random Musings post the other day about giving during the holidays. Sure I've given many times before and do throughout the year by donating clothes and toys. When I've worked in larger businesses we've collected money during the holidays to give to needy families. Since I work in a really small office this hasn't come up and I always feel I should be doing something for someone. So after reading Random's post I checked out our base exchange giving tree and selected this tag. I'm not sure when they started the tree but it was almost empty which is a good thing. I'm not really sure how this works because the only things on the tags were coats, hats, gloves, and boots. I wonder do the same kids have tags with toys on it and someone already picked them? or is this strictly for necessary clothing items. Anyway I'm going to get a toy or two for this little girl, so any ideas for a 9 year old? Also I'm not trying to get on a soap box, well maybe a little, but the tags on the tree are for the kids on base. Why is it that the men and women fighting for our country don't make enough money to buy necessary winter clothing for their children, this just isn't right, shame on you Uncle Sam!

I think it's awesome that you're doing that. My MIL got one for us from her churches tree because the hubby and I want to do something this holiday season.

It's just so sad how many people out there need help. I just want to help all of them. I wish I was in a position to do that.
