First day of high school

Yesterday was Shane's first day of high school, I'm still trying to figure out how he is old enough to go! Seems like yesterday I was dropping him off at kindergarten, where in the world does the time go?? Anyway he was very nervous because he's been going to the middle school on base which is very small and he knew everyone. He has played baseball off base for the past two years so he knew some people in the town. His bus arrived at 6:45 am and off he went. Yesterday seemed to drag forever for me because I was dying to know how he was doing, could he find his classes (they are doing major construction at the high school so everything is crazy), did he know anyone in his classes. The bus dropped him at 2:20 (the bus stop is right in front of our house which will be nice during the winter). He said it was a crazy day, they are on some sort of block schedule, which means he doesn't have the same classes everyday or at the same time. I don't know how they expect anyone to know where they are supposed to be. I'm thankful when I was in high school I had the same schedule everyday. He knew at least one person in all his classes and his best buddy is in his Spanish class. Once he got home we were off to get his supplies which wasn't too bad this year and he already had homework. Hopefully today will be a little easier for him since he's seen the layout of the school. I have way more to talk about regarding husbands trip but I'll save that for tomorrow.

He looks just like you!

High School. My first day of HS, I was walking across campus and a bird pooped on me. Seriously.

School supply shopping is always fun!

We had the same schedule every day in high school too. I'm sure the different schedules will get easier once he gets the hang of it. I remember being a bit overwhelming my first day of HS too. I'm glad he was able to spot a couple people he knew though.

That is a great photo!

I know what you mean..it seems as if I was just bringing Tori to Kindergarten and this is her last year before she starts High school...UGH! and I drive by Whitney's Preschool daily and I wonder how on earth she jumped from Preschool to 4th Grade!

I am anxious to her about your Husbands trip to OCC as is my Husband!

Time has flown seeing him so tall and just imagining how these next four years will fly by! I remember when Cole graduated and it seemed like that time flew by for him, too. He does look like you and so much like his daddy. Suzy said he looks so much like you! I would have had bad dreams back in school if my schedule was all over the place like that!
