Great Weekend

What a fabulous weekend well except for the rain! I got down to Florida Friday afternoon and met RPM for dinner at our usual restaurant - Flounders which is right on the beach. I had my usual seafood nachos, of course I had to take a picture of it.
RPM had the cheeseburgerWe only ate a few bites of dessert and the only reason we ordered it was to show everyone what it looked like! This was the best key lime pie I have ever eaten.
After we ate we walked down to the beach - I just had to feel some warm beach water and it was really nice. We ended sitting on a bench talking for hours. We always seem to have a lot to catch up on even though we talk and blog to each other all the time. We haven't lived near each other in 20 years but we always seem to pick up right where we left off.

Saturday Shane (I'm coming out of the blogging closet) he is my youngest and I went to the beach, right when we got there is started pouring down rain. Thank goodness it didn't last long and we were able to enjoy the water and sun. When we left the beach we went by RPM's house to visit a little while and she gave me some books which I can't wait to start reading. Shane had fun playing with all the pugs, they truly are so very sweet and loving.

Sunday we attempted the beach again, and again it started raining as soon as we got there. We did a little beach shop shopping, trying to kill time - it did stop so we got out there sun screened up and it started raining again so we just gave up for the day. Went back to in-laws and packed up to come back to my parents. I had the best weekend, thank you so much RPM for being truly the best friend in the world.

You are so Lucky to be able to have had that time with Sandy. I know you both look forward to your Annual visits. I remember reading Sandy's post during last years visit last year! Gosh time flies!
Maybe you wont have to wait as long as you did last year to meet up with your Best Friend again. You both sure are truly Best Friends....always and Forever..you both are lucky to have each-other.

It was so very good to see you and Shane..glad you are going to use the boys' names! I so enjoyed the evening and it was over too soon. And then Saturday it was so nice to see Shane, too. I wish I could have seen C too. I hate that it rained this weekend on your time..but we really needed the rain....although it didn't hardly soak our yard at all. The pugs were so excited to see Shane, too!

Everytime yall post about those nachos (what 2 years now I've seen those nachos?) they look SO GOOD. I wouldnt want the seafood, but the rest looks REALLY good. And sometimes nachos can be a dissapointment. But those? GREAT!
