Christmas Recap

What a wonderful Christmas we had. My oldest son flew in on the Saturday before Christmas and what an adventure that turned out to be. He left his house at 5:00 am his flight was scheduled to leave at 7:30 am when he checked in they told him it had been cancelled and he would have to wait for 2.5 hours for another flight. After that time they actually left and when he landed at his connecting city he was told there was no pilot and would have to wait another 2 hours. Once the pilot arrived he boarded the plane and they started taxiing down the runway only to stop and turn around and return to the gate. A small problem with the plane, he then had to wait on the plane for another two hours. Finally they took off and he landed here 6 hours later than scheduled. I didn't think he would ever get here. But once he arrived we had a wonderful time.

He and his brother got tons of stuff and enjoyed playing with all the video games. Unfortunately my oldest son had to leave this morning and thankfully has had no delays. We decided we wouldn't wait so long to see each other again, hopefully we will have him back up in April. This really pleased my youngest son, he has really missed him. One day we will all be back together and closer to all of our family. Until then thank goodness for blogs, email and the phone.

I hope everyone out there had a wonderful holiday.

Oh Bummer! No fun having delays. My In laws were delayed 5 hours yesterday at Logan Airport. I have had my share of delays and cancellations to the point of losing my sanity!.....anyway sounds like you all had a great Holiday....I bet you are counting down the days until April....and hopefully this time flying in will go more smoothly than this trip.

Wow, I'm glad he finally got there. What a mess travel has been for people this holiday season. I think it's so wonderful that youngest is missing oldest and they appreciate each other now that they are apart for bit. That makes the time together so nice. Thanks for the pics you sent me and you all looked like you were having a great time. I know you'll be glad when you all live closer to each other again.
